Interior Toastmasters
District 36 ± Club 2157

What Can Toastmasters do for You?

Before: He was a powerful warrior who communicated with his sword—not with mighty presentation skills.

After: Look at the confidence he displays at the lectern; his poise mirrors his articulate skills. He has also turned in his sword for recycling at a California recycling center.

Toastmasters can help you develop valuable leadership and communication skills in a professional, pressure-free setting. Setting personal goals and active participation in meetings can help you

  • Cultivate your speaking and presentation skills;
  • Learn the art of listening and constructive criticism through delivering speech evaluations;
  • Become a better impromptu speaker through table topics;
  • Develop meeting facilitation skills; and
  • Develop self-confidence.
We meet every Thursday from noon-1:00 p.m. in Room 7000B at the Department of the Interior, 1849 C Street NW, in Washington, DC (Metro Stop: Farragut West)
